Brilliant - This is the first Sailor Moon Manga book by Naoko Takeuchi. I recieved this two years ago for christmas and was exstatic. Ever since then i have been using amazon to find the next book that i need. I own books 1-10 in the Manga series. This book Contains 5 acts:Bunny a.k.a Sailor MoonAmy a.k.a Sailor MercuryRaye a.k.a Sailor MarsMasqueradeLita a.k.a Sailor JupiterThe fourth act being my favourite, all acts are brilliant! This manga has a really good story line. The Manga is more appelaing to the girls however the anime appeals to a unisex audience. With beautiful artwork in the story board wich is as magnificent and colourful as the artwork, i give this book 5 stars. The pictures, the story line, are both exellent and there are even some small interviews with Naoko Takeuchi. This book gets 5 by far!
COOL! - I bought this a about a week ago and it was so good i couldnt stop reading, I recommend this to anyone who loves sailor moon, or any manga. I rated this 5 stars but honestly it deserves a million. This book is the story of Serena (aka bunny) and how she finds out she is sailor moon the champion of justice. This book is a lot like the tv show, except a few differences, Sailor moons uniform is a bit different and well, just find out for yourself, its a lot better than the show so GO ON! read it.
Simple the Best! - I ve always wanted Sailor Moon Manga, and now finally i ve got it. Sailor Moon is a story about an ordinary 14 year-old school girl, named Serena (Bunny or Usagi). One day when she s on her way to school (late as usual! ^_^,)she stumbles across a strange a mysterious cat (liturally) with the mark of a cresent moon on it s forehead. And from then on Bunny s life s changed forever. If this is the first time your buying manga, then I say go ahead cos Sailor Moon s one hell of a funny book (frilly knickers) you ll understand when you buy it. As the series progresses there will be some hilariously funny moments and some heartwrenchingly tearful ones. So read on and enjoy!
Sailor Moon Vol1 - I think this comic is excellent. Sure you maybe thinking it s just another one of those superhero flicks that are all the same, but I have to beg to differ. There are not many superheros that I ve seen who are crybabies and spend most of their time beating up bad guys while looking for fellow warriors like themselves and carry out an important mission to find a mysterious princess all at the same time(I would tell you what happens when they find the princess but that would be talking about the wrong book and spoiling it for you). The basic storyline is interesting and what with all the humerous goings on that happen it s quite enjoyable. I have to admit there are some mushy parts to the comic but its not really that bad, most of it is apart of the storyline. So in that way I wouldn t recomend this to tomboys let alone boys (unless they like looking at fit girls in short skirts!). The animation is wicked even though its not in colour, yup you heard me its in black n white. But stuff like that depends really on what you like, I have to say I dont mind if its in colour or not because it looks good either way. Actually I think the characters look better in the comic than in the tv series. Also now that I think about it, the comic book plot is a lot better than the tv series(there is a slight difference between the episodes but the story is round about the same). So to sum it up, if you have the wide eyed innocence of a child(you dont have to, but it would be nice if you did) and like the idea of people receiving powers and going through all types of adventure, then you ll love this.
Great! - I bought this manga only a short while ago on the advice of a friend in Japan, and I loved it as soon as I started to read it! I ve read it over and over, and I still find new things I missed before! This is nefinately the best manga I ve ever read, and it s so much better than the TV series! If I could write as well as Naoko Takeuchi, I d be so incredibly proud - she s given us all a brilliant story and a cast of characters we ll never forget! I just can t wait to read the second volume!
