Great, but pity about the layout - Naoko Takeuchi s wonderful Sailor Moon series will always have a place in a manga fan s collection. The Sailor Moon series features her distinctive style of artwork which is great, but is ruined a bit due to the mangas change of the Japanese right to left format to the western left to right. GOOD POINTS more true to the Japanese original than the dub versiongreat artworkgreat characters and plotBAD POINTSchanging to left to right ruins atwork a bitnames may confuse some fans(e.g. Usagi/Serena - Bunny) Overall: The Sailor Moon manga series is great (and could arguably be better than the anime), but the left to right format doesn t do the series any justice. Should the Sailor Moon series be reprinted it should stay true to the original names and artwork as intended. Plot wise the Sailor Moon manga gives it s characters great detail, but the monsters (youma) aren t given enough depth, which is Ms Takeuchi s only failing, but overall the manga is greatly done and is one of the most influential girls manga of all time.

So, so, cool!!! - WOW!! After the sob filled ending of Sailor Moon S this is the perfect start of a new series! We are introduced to the mysterious Pegasus and the creepy Dead Moon Circus, who switch Serena and Rini s ages round before they d been in town two weeks! The artwork is amazing, (the drawings of teenage Rini look soooo beautiful!) and the story is so cool and full of depth. Sailor Mercury and Mars turn Super, (yay!!) and we see the true dreams of Amy and Raye. I would DEFINETLY recommend it, but I would get Book 2 as well, because the ending leaves you wanting more!

Defintely brillant!!! - I bought this book because I thought it was just like the TV series... I m SO glad it wasn t! Brillant story line and great artwork... the only problem is it s too short!

Simply:- S-uperb - This was actually the first in the series of Sailor Moon manga I read (I know-a little out of order..)-although there were a couple of things I did not understand first time round(not having read the rest of the series)it is a fantastic book and now after reading the whole series is still among my favorites. The art work as always is beautiful, the story line is fun, interesting and easy to follow- and there are even more wonderful characters introduced(eg-the amazon quartet) as well as a closer look at the originals. This is a book you cant help but fall in love with, I ve read it a million times-mars dream being my favorite part, as you see Phobos and Deimos human forms^_^ kawaii! The whole Supers series is brillient(especailly with the exam battle chapter in volume 2^_~)and this book was the perfect introduction!

A great book! - This is the first Sailor Moon book I have read after watching the Anime program on TV. In the book what happens is... Rini is planning to go back to the 30th century cos her training is complete (I think she saved her mum in the future) and she s a scout now. There is an eclipse and weird things start to happen. For some reason Rini s time key doesn t work and she cant go back to the future. You learn about what all of the scouts dreams are. Darien is getting pains in his chest and has to go to hospital. Rini and Bunny transform into scouts and battle an evil thing and when they transform back they switch sizes, bunny becomes Rini s age and Rini becomes bunny s age but they still have the same minds inside them, only their appearances change. Umm tones of other stuff happens too and it s really good :))))))))))))))))) Next I m going to get SuperS no.2, I can t wait :))))))) All in all it s a really great graphic novel and a must have for sailor moon fans!!
